Marlie and Family

Sorry everyone that it has been so long..We have been so busy now that it is summer time..We just added a new member to our family..A Akc Basset Hound..She is wonderful..She is amazing I should say...She has not went in the house poo or pee and she is only 10 weeks old..Amazing..She sleeps all night too..We are lucky. We named her Marlie after the Movie Marley and Me..If you havent seen it, you should watch it..Get your tissues though the ending is very sad..Its a good movie..

We are all doing well..Our kids all passed to the next grade with excellent grades, so we are happy with that..Daniel is going to be going to Bergman School also with the girls next year, so that will be nice to have them all in the same school..He went last year to the Lead Hill preschool, which is an awesome preschool...Teachers are wonderful there..But with me attending college, It will be much easier to get them all in one place..

Our Church

God is Good..

Our church is amazing..We know God has placed our family here in Diamond City...You know that God is in control, and you always hope you are in God's will for your life, and the lives of your family too..We know without a doubt, that we are ment to attend and to be members at our Church..Lighthouse Bible Church..We fill like we are one big family..We never doubt that each member would be there for us in a heart beat.. To lift us up, to cheer us up, and always there praying for us..God has great plans for our family..We are so excited everytime we walk threw our church doors..

We are having 30 days of revival starting in April..I am looking forward to the miricles God is planning in our community..He has big plans for Diamond City, and the surrounding area's..If you are in the neighbor hood, or just want to find a great family church, fill free to attend..Its right on the main street in Diamond City Arkansas..

I fill that each member is a part of our family..We are blessed with 2 pastors, who would do anything for any of us, without at doubt..They are always going beyond their calling, to help us out..We could not ask for 2 better pastors than the ones we have..God is good..

Sorry its been so long

Sorry its been so long since my last blog..Our kids had been sick, and then I caught it too. We ended up having the flu bug..Yuck..I was layed up for about 4 days or so..Fever, tired, some of the sick stomach, but mainly the fever.. I am tring to catch up on laundry and house work now..The kids and I are on spring break this next week, so the house will be clean again..lol..With 4 kids that is impossible sometimes...lol..I hope you all have been great..Is everyone on Spring Break?..

Sickness

Hello Everyone,

Sorry its been a couple of days since my last blog..My kids have all been sick with this crazy virus thing that is going around. Daniel first, then Abby, then Kendra..Elisabeth, our oldest one has not gotten sick..Thank God... We finally had all 4 in school today, then my husband, around 2 pm, had to go and get Daniel from preschool.. His fever was 102.5..So he is I guess not over it yet..It is crazy..His turned into double ear infections, and we thought he was over it, now he has another fever..I am going to take him to his dr. in mountain home tomorrow..I want to have some test run on him to see what is going on..It has been going on for off and on 3 weeks..Its getting old..Pray, that our family gets over this stuff..James still has his cough too..Its lingering on...Pray that me and Liz do not get this stuff..With me in college, its hard to not miss, when you have kids sick, and I dont need to get behide..I will have to miss tomorrow too..

Sunday..The Lord's Day

He that is is me is greater than what is in the world.
I love that verse. It always reminds me that no matter the situation I am going threw the Lord is bigger and will always be with me. Daniel and I are going to church here in a min. James is going to be staying home with Abby, who is still complaining of a tummy ache, and Kendra isnt feeling to hot either. Liz is meeting us at church later. She spent the weekend with a friend.
It will be a good day. Please continue to pray for all of us..I can not miss school that often, and when you have 4 kids, and making sure yourself dosent get sick, you need all the prayer you can get..Thanks,

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to do a prayer request today...James is feeling some better, still has some of his cough.. Daniel's turned into an ear infection, which he is much better after antibodics and prayer. ..Abby has ran a fever for two days, and her stomach is killing her..She is in a lot of pain, and is sleeping a lot...She drinks some, and take her medicine..So if you would throw a prayer up today for us, that would be much needed..

We are so thankful for all our church friends, and God's promise of healing. Thank God we have him to lean on.

Daniel our number 4

Daniel James Medina, born 8/28/05. He weighed 7lbs. 13 oz. He was my biggest baby. I had him at 39 weeks. My body seemed to want to have him early, but I never did..Thank goodness..I started contracting or having braxton hicks around 20 weeks. We went to the hospital a lot. But God kept him safe and in my tummy until he was ready to bring him into the world. He was so beautiful. You have to realize that after having 3 girls a boy was never in our minds. We just assumed we were having another girl. We alreay had a girls named picked out, and we went in for the ultrasound thinking we were having a girl. It was my mom, me, and my aunt Donna. When they pointed out in fact it was not a girl..lol..I almost feel off the table. It was all I could do not to keep from smiling.I dont think I stopped..I rushed home and was so excited to tell James..He had no Idea, and I tried to hold my excitement in, but as soon as I walked in, he knew..lol..James helped me name our girls, but I gave him full honor of naming his only boy and our last one. He was so excited..He came up with a lot of names and I liked them all..I mentioned the name Daniel and told him it was my fav. story in the bible, but he could name him anything thing he wished..It was his choice. He told me a few weeks before the birth what he had chosen and Daniel James was it..It could not have suited him better..He is a little boy living in a big lions den full of girls..lol..
He was a good ending.

Our youngest Daughter, Abby

Abby Rae Ann Medina, born May 12, 03. She was 2 weeks early. She weighed 7lbs. 6 oz. She was so cute. Still is..lol..But does she have an attitude to match.lol.. She quickly got her nick name which is Crabby Abby..

We thought that Abby was to be our last child. We were done at this point and was happy with 3 children. God had other plans for our lives. At 20 weeks I began to have bledding. I blead for 4 days none stop. It was over Thanksgiving holiday and I wasnt able to get to the Doctor until Monday. We waited 3 days not knowing if I had lost her or not. The doctor said he would do test on Monday to confirm. We were suppost to have the blood work done before the ultra sound to see if my blood count showed a miscarage or not. We were so upset with all of it, that we got the instructions messed up, and went to the Hospital first to have the ultra sound done.(So God). Before we had the ultra sound the technician was tring to comfort us and telling it that if it showed we were not pregneat anymore, that sometimes it was God's way of taking care of the situation and taking the baby on to Heaven. Once we saw a strong heart beat and a moving baby, I almost passed out..We just had excepted the outcome no matter what. We were still pregneat and the baby was very fisty.!!!... God knew and heard our prays for this child before we even prayed them, and he rewarded our faithfullness with this Angel.

We went on to the clinic for blood work, knowing the baby was fine. We got a call from the nurse later on that evening, telling us the "bad" news that our baby was not there any longer and that we need to come in as soon as possible. The blood work showed I had lost the baby and was no longer pregneat. I know without a doubt, that God planned out steps that day. If we had not had the Ultra sound done first, we might have a different outcome. I told the nurse, wait, we just saw the baby on the ultra sound and she was moving and had a wonderful heart beat. The nurse was so excited and couldnt understand the outcome of the blood work, but was so happy for our family. She said dont worry about it then, and we will see you in a few days.

With that scare over, I begin to become quite scared at the fact of not having anymore children, and I didnt have my tubes tied after Abby. We desided to have one more. God knew he had one more child for us. I am so happy to say, we had our last child on 8 28 05. It was a boy..We were so surprized at that..I will write about our last child Danile tomorrow. I hope you got something from this story. God has truely blessed us.

Kendra

Kendra Medina, born October 5, 00...She was so sweet and tiny.Kendra was born about four weeks early. I was having gall bladder attacks while I was preg. and with the stress of the attacks, I began to dia. some. She had some fluid on her lungs after birth, and I wasnt able to see or hold her for 24 hrs. She is healthy and full of life. She loves making her family smile. She is always so loving. She has the biggest heart. She would do anything for anyone. She loves animals.She is an awesome student in school. She has had a hard time this year. Her teacher needs to retire, and is very strict with her students. Kendra hasnt enjoyed this year much. So I will be thankful for next year. She just had her eighth birthday this last October. She was so excited to be a year older, from the smile in this picture. She is always excited to get presents and for everyone to be around her. She got lots of great gifts. I think she is a little my girl and a little of Daddy's girl too. She just is an all around awsome girl. We are so blessed.

Elisabeth found out today that she has made the basketball team. She is so excited about it...I think we are all so excited for her..She starts her first game on March 2. Its against Green Forest..She is so happy to have made it..She worked really hard..Its the beginning of many games..We will be proud parents...

My First...

You know how much you can love until you become a mother. I have always, for as long as I remember, have wanted to be a wife and mom. I was blessed in the year of 97, with our first daughter Elisabeth. I had always said when i was a little girl, that the first daughter I have, i will name after my grandma. Whom I was so close with. She lives in Flippin and I wish so much we could see each other more often.
Elisabeth is 11 now, and is turning in to quite the young lady. I am getting to start sharing only mom and daughters would talk about, and I have waited all my life for these moments. She is growing and changing and is almost as tall as me. Wow ! where does the time go. Soon she will be out of school and having a family of her own. I know she will have a wonderful family someday. But for now, I am enjoying these short moments. Remember to cherish the little things, and keep their memories alive always. They are only small for a short time.

Our Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day,

I was so spoiled this day. My wonderful Husband surprized me with a dozen roses and a 14kt. Garnet Neclace. It is so pretty. We usually dont get each other gifts that often. We usually focus on our kids, and make sure they have a great day. But this year he did good. I was so excited. He did good. I am so blessed to have him in my life. I am so blessed to have a husband who takes good care of his family, is a great daddy to our kids, plays a christain role in our home, and is so good to me. Who could ask for me.

We went over to the Jarvi's last night. They are church friends of ours. We are so blessed to have great friends. God has blessed us in so many ways.

Our Lost Dog

We have lost our dog Dottie. She is a black and tan Min Pin. She is 3 years old. Please pray for our family that she is returned..Now that it is dark outside,and getting colder her, I worry about where she might be. If she is safe and warm. She slipped out of her collar and has been gone since about one this afternoon. We are hoping if someone picked her up, that they give her a wonderful home. We live in Diamond City and have been looking most of the day. We will prob. continue tomorrow.

I hope this note finds you all well. Keep praying for James he is still a little under the weather.I wanted to wish everyone a great Valentine's Day this Saturday. Its a great day to tell someone you love them. I have an amazing husband who loves me unconditionally. He never gives up on me. I couldnt imagine my life with out him. Having him by my side day after day is all I need.

The kids are having their parties tomorrow at school and I'm going to try to steal my husband away for lunch. We have enjoyed being able to just step out for lunch together to catch up some. Its nice after a long day of stress to just be able to get away and enjoy great company. He is the best.

God Is Good !!!!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone now has lights, and is doing well..Today was amazing. I had struggled last week, in my Algebra class. I was struggling to finish this one section that I had to make a certain grade on to be able to go onto the next section. God reminded me after the 3rd try, that I not only forgot to pray about it first, before getting stressed out, and almost giving up. He reminded me that I was in school, to his purpose, and that is to become a nurse. I had to decrease, and allow him to increase in this situation. Today was a new day. I went in to begin this section again, and prayed, " God give me the wisdom I need to get threw this today. Give me the strength of the Holy Spirit to carry me threw. I begin the section. At the end of the section, I made an 90 on the final grade for it..Amazing. I begin the pretest to finish off that section, and finished it with a 89. My God is good..I have to constantly struggle to accomplish my goals, and the goals the Lord has for my Life.

I don't know how many of you know this, but I felt lead to go to college. It was a perfect time in mine and my husbands lives for me to be able too. He graduated two years ago with is BS. I am so proud of him. As I stated this process of school, I begin to realize how much I needed the Lord in the part of my life. In all my life. I begin to pray, Lord lead me in the path of your way, not mine. I have always wanted to become a nurse. He told me to become an RN, not an LPN, which is what I in tended first. I want to work with Hospice patients so bad. I know I have a long road ahead, but you know what?.. With God anything is possible. He knows the desires of my heart. I want to be able to share his word, pray for them, give them hope, and lead them to the Lord. So continue to pray for me and my family.

Enjoying the warm weather

We have been watching the kids enjoy the weather outside. We went over to my dad's today, to have lunch, and to visit. He ended up coming back to house to stay for a couple of days with us. We enjoy having him here..James is still sick some, so continue to pray for him. We are all hanging in here. The kids went to school this morning, until 1, which they didnt seem to mind to much. We are hopeing to be able to keep everyone well..We will go to church tomorrow, and enjoy our church family and the presence of God. We really enjoy our Sundays..Its all about family time. We hope everyone is well, and is enjoying the nice warm weather. I'm sure it wont last long.

A good Day

We all had a great day today. I realized again, that God is in control. I am so thankful for my wonderful husband, who provides so much for his family. We wouldnt be able to make it without him. God gives us so much. My family is well. We have a wonderful home, Great school for the kids, and I am attending a great college. He has so many plans for our lives.
I am so thankful for my life. My kids are so wonderful. Its so hard, not to be so proud, but I am so proud. They are very smart. They all make great grades.
Our family church is so wonderful. They are so great to our family. We truely feel like we have the BEST church in the world. What more could a person want in life. Great church, great husband, and great kids.

Taking it easy today !!

I stayed home today. I was feeling a little under the weather, so I decided to take it easy, catch up on housework, and just hang out. All the kids are in school. So its very quite here. The girls are having to go to school on Sat. of this week, to make up some of the days they missed during this ice storm. They dont seem to be to upset about it, and mommy is loving it..lol
I am waiting for James to get home from work. He is on his way. We will watch a movie, then off to bed it will be for him. He works nights, and sleeps during some of the day, and at night until 10 or so.
Remember me in prayer. I am going to the dr. this next week, for a check up.

Home Sweet Home

Home Sweet Home !!!
We made it back to our house safely today. We will miss being at papaw's house. They kids are asking ," When are we going to spend the night with papaw again."
We will miss it there, but we have more room here, and now papaw can sleep normal..lol.. We were so thankful to have a warm bed to sleep in, and great company.We were all blessed that dad's lights were only off 12 hrs. We would have had to maybe stay in Branson in a Hotel, if we had been out of lights for very long.
James has to work tonight, so he will lay down soon, for his bed time. I'm not sure if the girls will have school at Bergman or not tomorrow. They have a transformer down there. I went back to classes myself today. I just call a call from our pastor, who works at the school also, and he just said we are having school tomorrow..That is good news..
I hope everyone stayed warm, and that you have lights by now.

Finally !!!!

Good Morning,

We got our lights turned on yesterday evening. It is amazing how much you do not realize what you have until you no longer have it. Lights and heat seem so everyday, that when its gone for a few days, it seems like you have lost it all..We were so blessed to have been able to stay with my dad in Harrison. His ligts were only off for about 12 hrs. and we had heat, water, and great company. We couldn't have asked for more. All of our friends and family are doing fine as well..Most have lights now to. There are several still without power, but I dont think it will be long now. We will prob. be at dad's for a day or so still, just to not have to drive back in forth, if we have school. It will be easier to not have to drive back and forth. We will prob. be at home on tues. afternoon. if not before. We stayed here last night at home. James was able to get a chain saw from Wal-Mart, and was able to get most of the trees cut down, and but in a pile. He helped at our church, which had several trees down there too..One of our church families invited us to stay for dinner last night, but we ended up taking them to Branson for dinner..We had a good night. Being that I had been at my dad's little place, and with 4 kids stuck in the house for about a week, with not much to do, well lets just say I was pulling my hair out. It was so nice to be albe to just get out without kids, and enjoy the quite time alone with friends..Now I feel like I can make it..lol..

Still no lights for most of the area

We left Diamond City, on Wedsday morning for Harrison. My dad lives in Harrison, and just happened to have lights..I'm not sure how from the look of things here..It got a lot worse as we got closer to Bergman. We were hit hard in Diamond City, but the worse was in the Harrison area. They are still only a few places open here in town, and they are working hard, to get the lights restored in town. It may be weeks, before the lights are on at home.

We are hanging in, and trying to survive in a little house, with 4 kids, but at least everyone is safe, and warm.

ICE, ICE, ICE, MORE ICE, AND NOW SNOW !!!!

It is still coming down. Ice and Ice, and now its snowing some. We now have a tree the size of Kansas on my roof, and limbs down everywhere..We do still have lights. That is so amazing to me..lol..We have power lines down everywhere, but we still have lights..I'm not complaining any..I couldn't make it in this house alone, with 4 kids and nothing to do. So I thank God for keeping the lights on. I'm almost afraid to wake up in the morning, not knowing what my house or yard will look like. Please remember James tonight, he has to drive into Fed-X to work, and he will be driving our Suburban with 4 wheel drive, but on ice, i dont know how much it will help. It took him over an hr. last night to drive a 30 min drive. So you can amagine how long it took. My dad lives in Harrison, and still has lights also. So concidering everything we are all good..

We are home today. We had a pretty big ice storm hit this area last night. We still have lights, which with 4 kids at home, that a wonderful thing. We are waiting for James to get home from work. He says the roads are really bad. We are suppost to recieve more ice and snow today. School for this week, just might be out of the question. I'm ok with ice and snow, as long as I dont have to tackle the outside. I'm not one to enjoy being out in the stuff..
